Background
MMs. Powell did MSc (Business Strategy) from Norwegian School of Management, Oslo, MBA and MSc (Physics) from Cochin University of Science & Technology and BSc (Physics) from Women’s Christian College, Madras University.

She worked as a Manager / Senior Consultant in Norsk Hydro ASA, India Representative Office. The job entailed Acquisition and Transfer of Interests in India: coordinated legal, financial and regulatory procedures, Review of revival effort, Participated in selection of software service vendor and provided marketing intelligence reports to the regional headquarters in Singapore.

She also worked as a Research Assistant (Upstream Oil Industry) in Norwegian School of Management (BI) where she assisted in research on the competitiveness of the heavy oil industry in Canada, conducted extensive study on Upstream Oil Industry in Norway and also participated in research on the value creation logic in the Banking, Telecommunications and the Upstream Oil Industry.

Presently
She is managing and coordinating Research Projects on Energy, Participating in Research Projects of Energy and developing knowledge base on Energy, Editing and Developing News Letter on Energy and Supervising three Research Assistants.
