Background
Ms. Angira Sen Sarma has done M.Phil. (Central Asian Studies Division) from Jawaharlal Nehru University and MA (International Relations) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She completed her B.A. in Political Science from Presidency College, Kolkata. Presently she is pursuing Ph.D. (Central Asian Studies Division) from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has also done a Post Graduate Diploma in International Law and Diplomacy from the Indian Academy of International Law and Diplomacy, New Delhi. She has qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) for eligibility for Lectureship in International and Area Studies conducted by University Grants Commission. Prior to joining ORF, she worked as an Assistant Information Officer (Research) at Singapore High Commission, New Delhi. She worked on a Project of NCERT as a Junior Project Fellow. She also worked on a Tourism Project with Creative Research Group, Kolkata as a Research Assistant. She has been frequently writing on various issues related to Central Asia
